Groqit Privacy Policy
We do not share your personal information with anyone, without your explicit
authorization.
We protect your personal data as we would want our own to be protected. We
guard against exploitation of the information you provide to us, by providing
a secure site and as many safeguards as we can.
We hate spam as much as you do. We will not sell, rent, lease or
trade your name and other sensitive information to anyone else, because
we want you to be happy with us, and one of the minimum requirements for
a good relationship is trust.
We do collect information about books and movies to expand and correct
our data bases.
We do make use of cookies.

Personal information and other data we collect
Groqit collects personal information when you purchase a Groqit, register
a Groqit, or sign up for paid level of Membership Services, or otherwise
voluntarily provide such information.
Information you provide : When purchase or Register your
Groqit, we ask you for personal information (such as your name, email address
and an account password). For purchases and paid Membership Services, we
also request credit card or other payment account information which we maintain
in encrypted form on secure servers.
We may share information with third parties in limited circumstances, including
when complying with legal process, preventing fraud or imminent harm, and
ensuring the security of our network and services.
Cookies: When you register at Groqit.com, we send one
or more cookies - a small file containing a string of characters - to your
computer that uniquely identifies your browser. We use cookies to Remember
you for future visits. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies,
but you can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when
a cookie is being sent. However, some Groqit features and services may not
function properly if your cookies are disabled or deleted.
Groqit Desktop Application (GDA): The GDA that
we ask you to download allows data transfer between your Groqit and the
Groqit.com website. It is necessary for comunication to and from
your device, as internet sites are forbidden direct access to your computer,
for security reasons. The GDA itself is very simple and does no data
gathering of any kind, other than in its role ferrying Groqit data to and
from your Groqit device. It collects only the data in your Groqit's
files.
Groqit Buddies: We provide the Groqit Buddies service
for you to share your Inventory information (the lists in your Registry)
with people you designate to share with. You retain complete control
over who has access to that information. We only facilitate the contacts,
and we make sure that both parties designated as "Groqit Buddies" actively
grant access.
Registry: The lists you put in your Registry are,
like all of your other Groqit files, not accessible to anyone you do not
authorize as a Groqit Buddy.
Forum: We strongly suggest you protect your identity
and personal information if you choose to participate on the Groqit Forum. When
you sign up, you can choose a "handle" to use instead of your real name. You
don't have to, but please take note that we cannot protect your identity
or personal information if you choose to disclose it on the forum. This
is also true if you give out that personal information to anyone who contacts
you via a Private Message on the Forum. We have no control over those Private
Communication channels, and we do not filter Forum participants for trustworthiness. Be
cautious.
Information security: We take appropriate security measures
to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure
or destruction of data. We restrict access to personal information to employees,
contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to operate,
develop or improve our services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality
obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and
criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.
Software Copyright
Groqit products described in this manual contain copyrighted Groqit and
third party software stored in semiconductor memories or other media. Laws
in the United States and other countries preserve for Groqit and third party
software providers certain exclusive rights for copyrighted software, such
as the exclusive rights to distribute or reproduce the copyrighted software.
Accordingly, any copyrighted software contained in the Groqit products may
not be modified, reverse-engineered, distributed, or reproduced in any manner,
to the extent allowed by law. Furthermore, the purchase of the Groqit products
shall not be deemed to grant either directly or by implication, estoppel,
or otherwise, any license under the copyrights, patents, or patent applications
of Groqit or any third party software provider, except for the normal, non-exclusive,
royalty-free license to use that arises by operation of law in the sale
of a product.

Groqit is made under licence of US patent #6851611, for a Personal
Inventory Management System.
Customs and Importing
Classification: HTS 8471.90.0000 Manufactured in China
The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information.
When ordering, the recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country.
