Can I use a Groqit in my business?

I want to buy wholesale

What if I get a Groqit and don't like it? Is it guaranteed?

Working with Categories

(introductory mini-tutorial)

If you haven't yet done so, download and install the GDA and perform a Synch .   Please do so now, even if you haven't read any barcodes with your Groqit.   The GDA will copy data from your Groqit into your inventory on the site.   Even empty Categories will be copied.

.

Click on any of the Categories. You will be transferred to the Inventory page for that Category.   If you have not added anything to that Category you will see an Inventory page and:

"There are no items in your inventory. Why not add some?"

Click the MyGroqit button on the sub-menu and return to My Groqit page.

Click on the Category "Example2".   You will see a list of books.   In the upper right corner of the white area you see:

We will address these functions from the bottom up.   The lowest item allows you to view other pages of the inventory.   Customize Displayed Columns changes the fields you see for each item.   The pick list allows you to change the Category you are viewing without having to go back to My Groqit.   Edit Categories is used to Add, Edit and Remove Categories.   Add Item connects to a Search and item entry page.

Click on   Customize Displayed Columns.   You will see the Category Title, a list of Fields and the Default Item Type.   The Item Type allows you to decide what will be the typical item in the Category.   Example2 actually has books in it, so change the Default to Book.   (We need to know what the Default Type is, because you can name a Category whatever you wish.   When you are adding items on the site, we need to know what fields to ask for.   It doesn't make much sense to ask for the Composer for a book, does it?)

Please note, the category type does not prevent you from adding different items into a Category.   You can set your Wishlist to Album, if that's is mostly what you wish for, but you can add books or games without a problem.

Click the box next to Author and then the Modify Category button.   You go back to the example2 inventory, but now you see the Author as well.

Editing an Item

Look at the Author column about half way down the page, you'll see a book "CURRICULUM" that has the author, editor and two illustrators listed.   Click on Edit next to that field. You are now on a page that will allow editing of the listing.   Delete the illustrators from the field and click on Update Item.   You get a conformation of the edit and a link to "Return to Inventory."   The illustrators will be gone from that item.

Removing an item

The first item on in this inventory has a barcode of 9780029315896. Click Remove.   You will get a pop-up asking if you want to remove the item.   Click OK. Groqit.com will remove the item and re-display the inventory.

Changing the displayed inventory Category .

Click on the arrow next to the Category name.   This menu will show all of the Categories you have on your Groqit, plus the Everything option.   You can't change the displayed columns for Everything, but we do show you the Type of each item and you can always click on Edit to view the rest of the information for an item.

Add Item

"Add Item" accesses the inventory search.   Enter information into one of more of the fields and click the Find Items button or just press Enter after typing information in.   If we cannot match the item, you will see No match found. Please modify your search terms.   If you keyed a barcode or ISBN and we can't find it, that only means you own a version that is not in our inventory yet.   For a book, try searching by the author's last name and one of the larger words in the title.

When we find matches, we display them along with an "Add" option to the right.   Clicking on any "Add" will display all of the information we have for the item and ask you to confirm the Add.   If you say Yes, the item is added and you have two options:   Add another item or return to the Inventory display.   If you say No, the item isn't added.
