The Groqit is the best solution for your personal inventory management. No other product in the world comes close to offering the same features and value.

Groqit's design is a balance of convenience and cost. All other barcode reading devices do less, cost more or both.
We wanted as system as integrated and seamless as possible: just enough to do the job and no more. We chose what we believe are the best features at the best price.
Does Groqit offer the most cost effective inventory management tool in existence?
Consider the options:
A Spreadsheet:This is the most basic and the least expensive way to manage your inventory. It offers portability, as long as you print it out, or use a PDA.
Setting up a good spreadsheet can take a lot of work. You have to manually enter all of the information. You need a computer to work with your inventory. Sharing information about your collection is limited to passing around print-outs or copies of your spreadsheet.
Custom Software: Software designed specifically for collectors can help you organize Books or Movies or whatever specific type of item the software specializes in. Generally, you get a different program for each type of item, as the software tends to be very detail-oriented, and the details for Books are different from information specific to Movies. There is even custom software dedicated just to Comic Book collecting.
Most custom software searches the Internet for information about items your collection, often on Amazon.com's databases. If it isn't for sale at the time your software does a search, it won't be found.
Groqit.com maintains online databases for fast, accurate lookups of basic information about Books, Games, Movies and Music CDs. Our data is not as detailed as some programs provide, and does not fetch Cover Art for you, as many custom programs do. Groqit can be integrated with many custom software programs. The data Groqit provides can be an excellent starting point for collections you want to get more detail on, while giving you identifying information about all four categories of items, and keeping track of all your collections.
Barcode Readers: A good barcode reader can save you hours of manual data entry. They're really cheap on eBay, but you have to spend $50 to $75 for something basic that actually works. More expensive scanners understand more barcodes, they're more accurate, and they scan faster.
These all need to be plugged into a computer to work! You need to carry your inventory to your computer or lug your computer around to your inventory.
Wireless Barcode Reader: They're expensive. Low-end ones have a general starting price of $175, and they still need to be near your computer to work. Higher quality wireless barcode readers that offer greater portability are even more expensive - sometimes more than $1,000 just for the barcode scanner!
None of these scanners has a built-in display. You scan, they beep. So if you want to know if a barcode was read correctly, you have to go look at your computer screen. The Groqit has a display built-in.
Even expensive portable scanners are not really designed to be all that portable. They usually hold a limited number (150 or less) of barcodes. You aren't able to do anything with them out shopping in a bookstore. They can't search what is stored and you can't see anything anyway.
PDA or cellphone and a scanner: That's what it takes to do the Groqit's basic functions. (You need custom software as well)
The Groqit: It's only $129! You get the smallest and lightest portable barcode-reading system in the world. It has more memory than wireless barcode scanners that cost 5 times as much. And it's self-contained, meaning that you can scan products and view your inventory without a computer.
You can also become a member of the Groqit Community. This allows you to remotely backup your data, receive updates on product information from the highest quality databases, and manage your inventory and collaborate with other collectors from anywhere with Internet access.
